Favorite Blog Post of the Week: 20 Simple Ways to Take Care of Yourself

take care of yourselfIf you’ve read this blog before, you know that I like to spotlight other bloggers’ posts that really relate to my key message:  small changes over time can make a tremendous difference in our health and in our success.  This week I found a great list from mindbodygreen.com that shows us 20 simple things we can do to be healthier, honor ourselves, improve our moods and generally take care of ourselves.  I’m working with affirmations right now and seeing tremendous differences in my attitude and in my business (blog post to come on that soon!).  I also have recently tried adding spinach to my morning protein shake and I’m loving that!  (You can’t taste the spinach…)  Please click here and check out this blog post!

    Thanks for sharing these great ideas! I’m huge proponent of drinking plenty of water. This weekend we were at an out-of-town wedding and I’m feeling sluggish today. I’m realizing that my water consumption was WAY down! I’ll bet that’s why!

      Lisa — traveling is always a challenge. I try to be prepared, but sometimes we just have to get back on board with healthy choices once we’re home. Thanks for the comment!

  • I love these ideas, Cheryl! My simplest and fav one is to drink water, lots of it! Helps with a headache, with feeling overwhelmed, maintaining weights – it’s just awesome in any way!

      So true! And we can’t really count the coffee, tea, etc. that we drink that has caffeine in it. The water needs to be in addition that — some days are better than others for me. 🙂

    I just love mindbodygreen. I found you through bloglovin and I also have been trying to use affirmations and setting daily intentions. But giving up coffee well I don’t think I quite prepared for that yet.

  • Lot’s of great things on the list! I love using lavender essential oil. It is so relaxing. I like to rub a little on my temples at night to help me relax and sleep well. I have also started drinking hot lemon water most mornings instead of coffee. I think I will try the spinach in my smoothie this week!
